Established on July 16 1956, The Muncherjee Nowrojee Banajee Industrial
Home for the Blind (MNB) is a monument to the munificence of late
Serenbai Banajee who gave this bungalow for use and occupation in
memory of her father to start a residential industrial and vocational
training centre for visually-challenged men. Thus the Muncherjee Nowrojee
Banajee Industrial Home for the Blind was registered under the Bombay
Public Trust Act 1950.
To empower visually impaired individuals with comprehensive vocational or IT training and/or necessary infrastructure and working capital support best suited to his individual capability; thus enabling them to improve the quality of their life and be self reliant. To inculcate sense of responsibility with the motto: Each One reach One.
Every visually impaired person leads an independent life and is a contributory member of society.
